My Instagram Journey: About Sharing My Photography
How It All Began: Finding a Creative Outlet
■ Category: Behind the Scenes
About five years ago, I took a deep breath, hit "post," and shared my very first photo on Instagram. I started my account because I needed a way to let out my overflowing creativity — bringing that energy to work just wasn't enough. I wanted a space where I could experiment freely and shift my focus, a place to refresh my mind and express myself beyond the usual routine.
Instagram quickly became that outlet — a creative playground where I could explore photography, test different color tones, and find joy in the process. It gave me the freedom to try bold edits and experiment with visual storytelling without pressure.
Experimenting With Color, Stories, and Quizzes
One of the first things I played with was color tones — discovering how powerful color could be in shaping mood and narrative. Soon, I also discovered Instagram's world of stories and quizzes, which opened up new ways to engage with my audience and share my creative process.
This interactive side of Instagram helped me connect with people on a deeper level, transforming followers into friends and critics who challenged me to grow. These connections have been invaluable in developing my photography style and artistic confidence.
Growing My Audience and Creative Confidence
Over time, my Instagram audience grew steadily, not just in numbers but in meaningful engagement. The platform became more than a gallery — it became a community. I learned to trust my instincts more, embrace my unique style (sometimes raw and sometimes rich and bold), and celebrate the stories behind every shot.
Of course, there were challenges along the way — moments of self-doubt and the pressure to post regularly. But Instagram's creative space helped me maintain my passion for photography and expand my skills.
